Cynthia Varnadore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home and Crematory on Feb. 28, 2025.
Cynthia Louise Varnadore, 68
Cynthia Louise Varnadore watched the roses bloom at Heaven's gate as she was reunited with the love of her life on the morning of February 20, 2025. Cindi was born on April 10, 1956 in Sebring, Florida. As a resident of Okeechobee for 42 years, she loved spending time with those closest to her.
She enjoyed tending her flowers, feeding her critters, telling stories of growing up on the Bombing Range where she played in the Mighty Kissimmee River & explored all of Fort Kissimmee as well as reminiscing about her days with the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office serving as not only Dispatch and Road Patrol but the first female Detective for the Department.
Cindi was preceded in death by her father, Richard McClelland; her mother, Edna Waldron-McClelland; and her husband of 42 years, Edward Varnadore.
She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Varnadore-Sexton (Allen); grandson, Rafe Sexton; son, Richard Varnadore; granddaughter, Ella all of Okeechobee.
We are comforted in knowing that mom is not only healed but also enjoying the Heavenly cabin our dad has built over the last five years, what a beautiful sight it must have been.
No services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite local charity.

I am so sorry. I remember her as an Okeechobee Co. Detective, a beaufiful young woman and a dedicated officer. Praying for her family.
