Dr. D. Eric Dennis

Dr. D. Eric Dennis peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 13th 2024 at his lake house, surrounded by family after a brave battle with cancer.
Eric, son of Robert (deceased) and Rita, was born on May 19, 1955, in Delaware, Ohio. He excelled at sports and science in high school, earning a basketball scholarship to the College of Wooster. There, he met the love of his life, his wife of 46 years and best friend, Mary (Konstan). He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from THE Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Eric practiced dentistry in Mogadore, Ohio for 40 years. His clinical skills were exceptional, but where he truly shined was in developing relationships and caring for his patients and staff. His passion for dentistry was contagious, and he took great pleasure in mentoring his son, Rob.
Eric was not only an accomplished dentist but also an avid fly fisherman and fly tyer. One of Eric's greatest joys was traveling and fishing with his friends, sharing boxes full of his fly creations. Eric's other hobbies included golfing, cooking, and watching Ohio State football.
Most importantly, Eric was a devoted family man. He cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather "Poppy." Eric leaves behind his wife, Mary; children, Emily (Peter) and Rob (Gina), and grandchildren; Jack, Annie, Leo, and Michael Eric.
Eric will be lovingly remembered for his generosity, kindness, and gentle spirit.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. WEDNESDAY, June 19, 2024, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., with Rev. Fr. Dean Kokanos and Rev. Fr. Nick Manuel officiating. The interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends and family at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on TUESDAY, June 18, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Trisagion service will be held at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Akron and Project Healing Waters (https://projecthealingwaters.org) in his memory.
