Diane Hendrix, 76, went to be with the Lord September 18, 2025 after a long illness. Preceded in death by our father Roger in 2020 after 52 years of marriage, her parents Charles and Shirley Bogdanovich and brother Tom Bogdanovich.
She was born in Akron, Ohio and attended Coventry High School. After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart. She was a stay-at-home mom until the 80s and she started working as a bridal seamstress for years. Thereafter she worked at the Society of the Blind in Akron where she taught sewing classes, she really loved that. In her spare time she loved gardening and hearing our dad play with his band.
Our mom Diane will live on in our lives until we are all together again!
Diane is survived by her daughters, Gayle (Paul) Moon and Melissa Hendrix; grandchildren, Emilee (Matt) Saunders, Tyler (Emily) Miller, Tristan Hendrix, Natalie (Rick) Selman, Shane Selman, Jr. and Gianna Hendrix; great grandchildren, Easton, Keenan, Ricky and Mason; brothers, Mike Bogdanovich and Mark (Lynn) Bogdanovich; a niece and nephews and many cousins.
Special thanks to Barberton Post Acute for caring for Mom a short time there. She loved making new friends and having a caring staff.
There will not be any services for Diane at her request. A celebration of life will be in the next upcoming weeks.
