George C. Linton born November 28, 1960, died at his home in Suffield Township on Friday, November 21, 2025 after years of declining health.

George was a one-of-a-kind husband, father, papa, brother and friend - steady, generous, responsible and full of a quiet strength. His heart had room for everyone and his presence made life feel warmer, better, safer and lots more fun. He loved each of his four children and was immensely proud of them as evidenced in the way he spoke of them. It is a special Dad who steps in and steps up to love and guide children who are not his responsibility. The word "step" was never part of his vocabulary, and his love was never conditional - just strong and true. His children want you to know he loved each of them with his whole heart and they knew it, that they are grateful he chose them to be his children, that his impact on their lives will be felt in future generations, that he always supported them and that they were so happy for him when Kendra was born - a child who has his eyes, heart, spirit and his Mother's hands.

George was a man who chose, family, love and responsibility every day. He was a proud member of UA Local Union 669 Road Sprinkler Fitters for over 30 years. He was a man who enjoyed life and its simple pleasures whether it be discussing politics/football/sprinkler fitting, riding his Harley Davidson, scuba diving, playing cards, or having a Budweiser. He did all these things very well. His wit, sarcasm, strong will, and joke and storytelling were some of his greatest attributes.

George did better than the best he could with the circumstances he was given over the last 15+ years and his ability to set aside his pain and discomfort and continue to provide love and support to his family and friends may give some small insight into the exceptional man he was. His legacy of love, strength and devotion will never be forgotten. He was a man who adapted, improvised and overcame throughout his life and he taught us all how to do the same and we are forever grateful.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gladys Linton and his nephew, Rich Linton. George is survived by his wife, Kimm, whom he always called Sally; his four children: Shawn (Michelle) Kiefer, Katie (Joshua) Holben, Keri Linton and Kendra Linton; his grandchildren who brought him immense joy, laughter, and love: Emma, Lydia, Luke, Liam and Lyla; his siblings: Donald (Beverly) Linton, David (Barbara) Linton, and Joyce (Scott) Frase; Father-in-Law and Mother-in-law: Al and Betty Knight; brothers-in-law: John (Laura) Lusk and David Lusk; and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Per his wishes, there will be no services. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at Sable Creek Golf Course, Hartville, Ohio on December 27, 2025, from 2-5 pm
