Daisy Lee Driver Boykin, 96, of Wilson passed away Monday, December 16, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday evening, December 20, 2024, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday morning, December 21, 2024, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.
The family will receive friends Friday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, and other times at the home of her son, Teddy and Linda Boykin.
Daisy was a Godly woman and a faithful servant of God at Refuge Trinity Holiness Church. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Daisy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Daisy is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lou Haynes and husband, J.V. of Stantonsburg, and her son, Teddy Joe Boykin and wife, Linda of Wilson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Magdelene Proctor and husband, Steve of Rocky Mount, Margie Burgess of Rocky Mount, and Patricia Carter of Arkansas, and her brother, Berry Driver of Middlesex.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Rothen Boykin, Sr.; sons, G. Rothen Boykin, Jr. and Billy Boykin; parents, James and Sallie Driver; sister, Linda Worley and her brothers, Edgar Driver, and Tommy Driver.
