Daisy Mae Jones

Daisy Mae Jones of Lake City passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of 93. Born in Lake City to the late Leon and Eva Mae Finley Jones, Ms. Jones was a lifelong resident. An accountant by trade, she owned and operated Daisy’s Tax Service for over sixty years. Ms. Jones enjoyed growing lilies and raising chickens and ducks and sold her flowers and eggs from her home. She was a longtime member of Lake City Church of God and enjoyed attending services. She is survived by her son: Ronald (Kelly) Jones of St. Petersburg; grandson Lance (Lindsey) Jones of Lake City; step-grandchildren: Kristyn Miranda and James Miranda; great grandchildren: Sloane Jones and Stella Jones; and a sister: Mary Pearl Ellzey of Lake City. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Thursday, December 18, 2025, in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home, 2659 SW Main Blvd., Lake City with Reverend Carl Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lake City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
