Dakota Kyra Shay Hough

Dakota Kyra Shay Hough of Shawnee, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the age of 23. Dakota was born on November 1, 1999 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Gregory Hough and Casey Daniels. Dakota grew up in Shawnee. She attended Prague Schools and Shawnee Schools. Dakota was a 2018 graduate of Shawnee High School.
Dakota enjoyed spending time at the lake. She also enjoyed dancing, Tik Toc videos and spending time with her friends and family. She had a big heart, was soft spoken and never met a stranger. She leaves behind many friends and family and will be greatly missed.
Dakota was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Hough.
She is survived by her mother, Casey Daniels; her grandmother, Diane Daniels; her brother, Matthew Brunson and his wife, Chelsey, and their children; three sisters, Amy Brunson, Alex Hough and Kelsey Hough; her uncle, Delin Oldham and his wife, Janelle, and their three children, Jaylee, Kellan and Laynee; her uncle, Derrik Oldham and his wife, Brittany and their five children, Khloe, Kyler, Kobe, Kyrie and Koke; her uncle, Dustin Oldham; her niece, Leighann Brunson; grandparents, Rex and Mary Schad and pawpaw, David James Oldham; friends; Victoria Neugent, Kiara Ortiz and her daughter, August Ortiz, Rachelle Brannon, Ka'Cyana Golden and Kristy Brown. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
