Sarah Genevieve Daugherty, age 20, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on August 24, 2025, due to complications of asthma. She was born in Las Vegas, Neveda, to Christopher Daugherty and Helen Zylstra on July 11, 2005.
After graduating from Shawnee High School, Sarah entered the volunteer world because she was a bit unsure of what she wanted to do. Therefore, she volunteered with churches and youth programs, always doing what she could for the community.
Sarah was predeceased by her great grandmother and great grandfather, as well as other relatives and friends.
Sarah is survived by her grandmother, Lisa Daugherty; father, Christopher Daugherty and stepmom, Theresa Daugherty; sister, Elizabeth Daugherty and brother, Jesse Daugherty; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins and a host of friends.
Sarah was a wonderful soul gone from us way too soon. She is very loved and deeply missed. Always remember, “It’s not goodbye, it’s only ‘til next time.”
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, 2:00 p.m., at Liberty Baptist Church, 711 E. Federal St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
