Dale Allion Obituary
August 14, 1925 - May 20, 2024
Dale Sutton Allion, 98, of Waterville, Ohio, passed away May 20, 2024. He was born August 14, 1925, to Hazel Sutton and Howard Albert Allion on the Sutton farm in Haskins, Ohio. He attended Waterville Elementary School and High School, graduating in the class of 1943.
Dale joined the United States Marine Corps in San Diego, California and was discharged in 1946 after serving in battle in the South Pacific. On October 4, 1947, he married Carolyn Goetz at Memorial Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Dale loved cars, reading about them, looking at them and buying them. Dale was employed by Lucas County Engineers, Road Maintenance and retired as Assistant Superintendent.
Dale and Carolyn divided their time between Toledo and Spring Hill, Florida. He was a member of Faith Community Church in Maumee and Spring Hill United Church of Christ. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 144 and the American Legion Post 553 in Toledo.
He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Carolyn of Waterville, Ohio; and brother, Keith (Debbie) Allion.
Private burial will take place at Troy Twp. Cemetery in Luckey, Ohio. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, Waterville, Ohio.

Dale and Carolyn were neighbors of mine a few years ago. Dale was such a sweet man, attempting to do so much around the house. I enjoyed listening to his stories of times past. Dale and Carolyn made a truly loving couple. May he rest in peace.
