Dale Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Dale L. Anderson, 73, of Armstrong, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on September 4, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dale was born on August 30, 1952 in Estherville, Iowa, to Leslie and Cristina Anderson. He grew up with strong roots in family, farming and hard work.
A 1970 graduate of Armstrong High School, Dale began trucking at the young age of 17. He went on to drive for Holiday Express before building his own successful trucking business. He spent many years on the open road acquiring many friends and teaching many to haul including his son. Between loads Dale spent his life devoted to farming along side his dad, brother, son and best friend Bill. It was a lifelong calling that brought him both purpose and pride.
Dale will be remembered not only for his dedication to work but also for his love of family. He is survived by his children, Ben Anderson of Armstrong, IA, and Jessica Anderson of Murfreesboro, TN; his brother Dave (Carol) Anderson of Armstrong; his sister Donna (Dean) Grotte of Fairmont; Bill (Wendy), Josh Oleson; granddaughter Kyendra Anderson of Sherburn, MN and her three children.
Those who knew Dale best will carry with them memories of his resilience, his generosity, and his kind smile. He was an anchor of unyielding quiet strength even in the face of hardship. His journey, both on the highways and in the fields, reflected a life of determination and grit, tempered with humor, warmth, and an unwavering love for his friends and family.
Dale has unending gratitude to Ben, Big Dave, Carol, Bill, Wendy, Josh and Shelly for all the love and steadfast support.
