Dale Edward Beckler

Dale Edward Beckler, 72, and a resident of Vermilion, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, he faced his illness with remarkable courage and grace. In his final weeks, Dale cherished meaningful moments with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, proudly celebrating their achievements and sharing his boundless love.
Dale will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sharp wit, and warm sense of humor. He had a unique ability to lend a helping hand, always selflessly giving of himself to others. He found joy in the beauty of his yard, feeding birds and observing the wildlife that graced his landscape. A lifelong enthusiast of cars-both new and vintage-as well as tractors and trains, Dale derived immense pleasure from his passions.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Beckler.
He is survived by his loving mother, Erma Reed, and his devoted wife of 26 years, Marilyn (nee Cambarare) Beckler, who affectionately called him her "Knight in Shining Armor." Dale leaves behind his children: Christine (Scott) Bradley, Kathy (Rob) Robles, Amy (Jeff) Bettinger, Richard J. Kowalski, Jason (Rachel) Kowalski, and Andrew Kowalski; his granddaughters Samantha, Caitlin, Destiny, Aderika, Angela, and Jamie. He is also survived by his siblings: Debbie (Ron), Sharon (Bill), and Russ (Amy), along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
Dale deeply valued the extended family he gained through marriage and relished the time spent together over the years. In recent times, he enjoyed exploring new places and embarking on adventures with his loved ones.
His career encompassed roles at U.S. Steel, Lorain City Schools, and the Avon Lake Ford Assembly Plant, from which he retired in 2014. Dale expressed profound gratitude for the love and support he received throughout his life, particularly during his final days.
A Celebration of Dale's Life will be held in the Spring, with further details to be announced.
