Dale E. Cignetti

Dale E. (Furbish) Cignetti, 71, a longtime resident of Shrewsbury, passed away at home on Friday, June 2, 2023.
Dale was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Clyde J. and Helen (Eager) Furbish. She grew up in Westborough where she was a graduate of Westborough High School. She later earned her degree in nursing from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Boston, MA and pursued a long career as a registered nurse working for UMass Medical Center for many years before retiring in February of 2018. She enjoyed planting and tending to flowers throughout the backyard, setting up hummingbird feeders, and observing the local wildlife. She loved to spend time with her family and especially treasured her time with her grandson.
Dale is survived by her loving husband and best friend for the past 50 years, John J. Cignetti; their two children, David Cignetti of Shrewsbury and Stacey Parzych and her husband Erik of Sturbridge; a grandson, Brendan Parzych of Sturbridge; a brother, Gerald Furbish; two sisters, Jean Kelly and Nina Gradia; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, Richard Furbish and Clyde Furbish Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 10:30am to 12:00 noon with her funeral service to begin at 12:00 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westborough.
