Deanna "Granny" Cignetti

Deanna "Granny" Cignetti (nee Wise) entered into rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 75.
Deanna was the loving wife of Tom Cignetti for 57 years, cherished Mother of Teresa (Matthew) Laugeman and Deborah (Derrick) Buddemeyer. Beloved Granny to Jacob Laugeman, Jordan Sittner, Olivia Sittner (Mac), Deacon Michael Laugeman and Hailey Buddemeyer. Cherished sister to Leslie (Ken) Smith. Aunt, Cousin and friend to many.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents Winfred Wise and Sibey (nee McCoy) Wise and her granddaughter Hailey Buddemeyer.
Deanna dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her profession and in her home. A proud registered nurse, she brought compassion, skill, and a calming presence to every patient she met. Outside of her career, Deanna's warmth extended to her kitchen, where she found joy in baking and she loved nothing more than seeing the smiles her treats brought to those she loved.
But above all, Deanna was deeply loved by her husband, Tom. After 57 years together, he says her kisses were "sweeter than wine," a perfect reflection of the tenderness and joy they shared throughout their life together.
A lifelong Georgia Bulldogs fan, Deanna cheered proudly on every game day, often decked out in red and black and shouting "Go Dawgs!" win or lose. Her spirit, loyalty, and love of life mirrored the very best of her favorite team.
Deanna will be remembered for her gentle heart, tireless care for others, and the sweetness - both literal and figurative - that she brought into every life she touched.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10am to 12pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St. Charles, MO 63304
