Dale, 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Wadena, MN, on March 18, 2025. Additional care was provided by Moments Hospice.
Dale Wallace Dobson was born the oldest of six children to Marvin and Grace (Kuper) Dobson on October 3, 1929, in Marvin, SD. The family moved to a farm near Huntersville, MN, when Dale was four. He had three brothers and two sisters.
After graduating from Sebeka High School in 1948, Dale enlisted in the US Army. He was deployed to Europe for three years and then served in the Korean Conflict. He was very proud of his service and loved sharing his experiences.
In 1955, Dale married Jeanine Carpenter and had daughters, Michele and Dede. They remained friendly after divorcing in 1975. Dale married Janice (Nohrenberg) Miller in 1979. Their love and devotion of 45 years will live on.
Dale's career mainly involved sales. He retired in 2005, from Tri County Hospital as a Director of Security. His many interests included hunting, fishing, playing cards, and trips to the casino. Most of all he loved visiting with people! He had a knack for making friends easily; often making them feel like family. He was a member of the American Legion and actively involved with the VFW.
A simple obituary cannot fully encapsulate Dale's life, but it can serve as a tribute to a man who was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Dales's life story is a book with many chapters filled with dedication and service, devotion to the many people he loved, and memories of the deeply rooted relationships that shaped his legacy.
Preceding Dale in death were his parents Marvin and Grace; brothers Duane, Dean and Dwight Dobson; and sister Della Kowalski.
Forever remembering Dale will be his wife, Janice; daughters, Michele (Ken) Warzecha and Dede Dobson; step-children John (Cheryl) Miller, Mike (Marlene) Miller, and Lori (Steve) Kirckof; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Donna (Ron) Morafcik; along with many nieces and nephews.
