Dale Alvin Gavin of Lakewood, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, while under the compassionate care of Unity Hospice. He was 84 years old.

Born on October 23, 1940, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Dale was the son of Robert and Nettie (Marks) Gavin. He spent the majority of his working life at Regal Ware in Kewaskum, where he was employed for 35 years until his retirement in 2003. After retiring, he and his beloved wife Beverly made Lakewood their forever home.+

Dale met Beverly Ebert while working in Kewaskum, and the couple married on June 28, 1986. Together, they shared nearly four decades of love, laughter, and lasting memories. Known for his feisty and comical personality, Dale loved to make people laugh and always had a story or joke to share.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and traveling. One of his favorite destinations was the Wisconsin River, where he delighted in walleye fishing. Dale was also a skilled woodworker and found great satisfaction in crafting with his hands. In his younger years, he had a deep love for horses and spent time raising and riding them.

Dale was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend, where his strong faith remained a guiding force throughout his life. He is undoubtedly having the best time in heaven with his dear friend, Earl, by his side once again.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his children: Dawn (Ron), Tracy (Patsy), Sherry, Nancy (Clyde), Corrie (Chris), Cindy, Chad (Sue), and Mandi; siblings: Francis (Joan) and Marie (Larry); his special friend, Ray Butzke; as well as 21 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons James and Chris; son-in-law Ken; and siblings Bob, Ogden, Delbert, Delmer, George, Edward, Isabella, and Kathy.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bo Baumeister officiating.

Dale will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him. His laughter, strength, and heart will live on in the many lives he touched.
