Dale Lockhart

Dale Lockhart, age 74, of Lemont Furnace, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 in We Care Rolling Meadows, Waynesburg. He was born April 20, 1949 in Republic, son of the late John Lockhart, Sr. and Gladys Sifton Lockhart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Pvt. John Lockhart, Jr. and Gregory A. Lockhart; a sister, Jean A. Sholtis.
Dale was a 1967 graduate of Redstone High School. He worked as a coal miner and then as a Teamster Truck Driver for many years before becoming employed by the Herald -Standard Newspaper as a photographer. Dale was an avid reader and enjoyed photography.
Left to cherish Dale's memory are his loving wife Jeanne Gush Lockhart of Lemont Furnace; a son, Doug Lockhart; astep- daughter, Tammy Farrell and husband Gary; several grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Lockhart and wife Margaret of Siera Vista, AZ; many nieces and nephews; and helpful neighbor, Jen Page.
