Dale P. Olson

Dale P. Olson, 89, of Superior, died Monday, November 3, 2025, at Twin Ports Health Services in Superior.

Dale was born in Superior on July 27, 1936, the son of Myrtle and Hugo Olson.

Dale married Dolores McKenzie on August 31, 1957. They had a wonderful full life until her passing on May 1, 2017.

He spent his career working in wholesale foods, and retired as warehouse foreman for Flemming Foods, formerly Twin Ports Grocery and Gateway Foods.

Dale was a member of the local Teamsters union. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at the hunting cabin. He liked to play cards and would occasionally go on a casino run. Most important to Dale was his family and he especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores; and siblings, Gene, Jerry, Donna, Lyle, Darlene, and Patricia.

Survivors include his children, Debbie Hennessy, Tim (Peggy) Olson, Tom Olson, and David Olson; grandchildren, Erin (Joe) Vella, Steve (Hailey) Hennessy, Chris (Leigh) Hennessy, Kevin (Stef) Olson, Bryan Olson, Hanna Olson, and Sara Olson; great grandchildren, Sofie, Gunnar, Rowan, Lincoln, Harper, Meadow, Caroline, and Spencer; and many special nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the whole staff at Twin Ports Health Services and Essentia Hospice for their loving care of Dale over the years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St., Superior, with Gary Banker as officiant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
