Dale E. Powell, age 79 of New Vienna, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday morning, December 20, 2025. He was born January 20, 1946 in Denver, Colorado, the son of the late Frank and Irene (Bechtle) Powell. Mr. Powell was member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Combat Veteran's Motorcycle Association and enjoyed riding with the group at every opportunity. He was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Anita (Whittaker) Powell, whom he married on September 2, 1983 in Canon City, Colorado. He is also survived by two children, Nancy (Garlan) Reno of Germantown and Nathanial Dale Powell of North Dakota; two grandchildren, Garrett (Samantha) Reno and Grace (Jason) Heys, both of Germantown; three great grandchildren, Parker, Everleigh, and Tucker; a sister, Jeanne LaGree of Texas, and a host of friends. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Mr. Powell was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Kindoll; a sister, Patricia Powell; and a brother, Mike Powell. In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. A celebration of Dale's life and memorial service will be held later and will be announced when scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to the Combat Veteran's Motorcycle Association, payable to CVMA Ohio-18, P.O. Box 12, Bainbridge, Ohio 45612-9963.
