Dale Smith

Dale Smith, 60, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at home. Dale was born in Carthage on October 15, 1965, to Donald and Ella Mae (Reynolds) Smith. He graduated from Carthage High School, Class of 1984. He retired as head custodian of Columbian Elementary in 2021 after 26 years with Carthage R9 Schools. Dale was an amazing handy man that loved tinkering with things. He loved working with his hands and built anything Jen would ask him to make. He enjoyed hunting through flea markets and being silly with his family. Dale loved collecting watches, making hiking sticks, and taking care of his land. He wasn't much of a sports fan but he loved his Chiefs! Dale had a quick wit and his dad jokes never disappointed. He was a founding member of Servant's Church in Webb City, Missouri. Dale loved his God, his kids, and his wife. Dale was united in marriage to his best friend and love of his life, Jennifer (Thorn), on April 27, 1996, in Carthage.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer, of 29 years; son, Ethan Smith and wife, Ana; daughter, Enessa Smith; his mother, Ella Mae Smith; and two brothers, Donald Smith, Jr. and wife, Angie, and David Smith and wife, Melissa.

A service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Servant's Church, 17811 Old 66 Blvd. in Carthage, Missouri.
