Dale Earl Trager

Dale Earl Trager, aged 64, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Frisco, NC, on September 15, 2025. Born on March 9, 1961, Dale spent most of his life drawn to the call of the water, a passion that defined his journey and spirit.
Dale has cast his lines and nets all over the world. The Khlongs in Bangkok started everything. Then Coco Beach Florida, the serene lakes of Texas, and onto the adventurous feeding of alligators in the Louisiana French Quarter. Finally, at about 50, he made it here to fish the abundant waters of the Outer Banks. Dales' life was a testament to his love of the sea. The water called him, and he answered with unwavering dedication, always accompanied by his loyal dog.
Dale worked as a Commercial Fisherman on the island, contributing his skills and knowledge to Local Seafood. Through deep conversations and his genuine care for others, Dale quickly became an integral part of the island community, embraced as family by many who knew him. His warm hugs and kind spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Earl Adam Trager and Josephine Williams Trager. He leaves behind his cherished daughter, Michelle Watson, and son, James Watson, as well as his sister, Tamara Trager. Dale's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through them.
In accordance with his wishes, no service will be held at this time.
