Dalia Maria Adamczyk, age 75, was called upon by God on Saturday, October 11, 2025, to enter The Gates of Heaven. Dalia is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Joseph Adamczyk; devoted children Andrew (Gisela), Anthony, Daina and Paul (Shu) Adamczyk; treasured grandchildren Kobe, Xavier and Olivia; dear siblings Audrone Rodzak (†John) and Arvydas Veitas (Julie); close brother- and sister-in-laws Frank and Helena Petrich; nieces Katrina Robbins and Stephanie Petrich, Victoria and Marina Veitas; nephews Ray and Alexander Leseckas, Vincent Veitas, and Frankie Petrich. She is preceded in death by her parents Kazimieras and Brone (nee Gumauskaite) Veitas and sister Ramute Veitas.
Dalia was a dedicated mother and wife, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was born in Toronto, Canada, but spent her lifetime in the Chicagoland area. In her early years, she worked as a biologist and teacher, and enjoyed sharing her passion of teaching with her children and grandchildren. She adored cooking and baking for her family. Dalia's strong faith gave her great patience and understanding as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 17, 2025 from 3-8 pm at Petkus Funeral Homes,
12401 S Archer Ave, Lemont Il 60439. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday,
October 18 2025 at the Lithuanian World Center, 14911 127th St, Lemont IL 60439 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice IL.
