Dalice Lee Zickefoose Lindsey, 87, of Fluvanna County, Virginia, was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 4, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Floyd Lindsey; her eldest son, Charles Lindsey; her eldest sister, Mildred Miller; and her beloved parents, Charles Zickefoose and Violet Lang. She is survived by her children: Diane Davis (Chris), Donna Franklin (George), and David Lindsey, and her grandchildren: Sandy Kendrick, Kevin Franklin (Christy, Jr Kendrick, Christopher Lindsey, Daniel Lindsey, Michael Lindsey, Angie Lindsey Franklin (Robert), Kim Hillard (Pete), Charles Lindsey, Christy Harper (Kevin), Windy Markham, Ricky Isbell (Deidre), Thomas Bollinger, James Bollinger, Buford Bollinger, and Cindy. Her great-grandchildren include Ashley Banks, Stefanie Kendrick, Cody Kendrick, Chelsey Franklin, Maaliyah Barbour, Kaylee Franklin, Chris, Jacob, LeAnn, Yavin Glasgow, Devan Glasgow, Maliek Glasgow, Jamie, Nivaeh, Addison, Marvin, Katyln (Jarron), Peter, Abbey, and Bobby. She is also remembered by several great-great grandchildren, including Clarence Banks (CJ, Aiden Banks (AJ), and Layla. Dalice also shared a special bond with dear friends: Kathleena "Pace" Morris, Ricky Kendrick, Amy Enos, and Robin Lindsey Shifflet. Dalice also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews.
Dalice graced our lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. She was a one-of-a-kind Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, a devoted Sister and Daughter whose heart of gold touched everyone she met. She devoted her life to serving the Lord (reading her bible everyday), her family and to her career. She worked several jobs in her lifetime and retired after 24 yrs from Enivronmental Services at UVA where she took great pride in her work. Outside of her Professional career, she enjoyed Gardening and she loved spending time with her cats. Dalice left a lasting Memory in many hearts and forever will be Loved and deeply Missed by her Family and Friends.
A visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00-11:00am, on Saturday October 11th with funeral service to follow at 11:00am, both services will take place at Lyles Baptist Church, 92 Lyles Church Lane, Palmyra, Virginia.
She is in the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
