Dallas E. Goodnight, age 85, was born on November 3, 1939, in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Virgil and Mary Goodnight. He passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Horizon Medical Center.
As a child, his family moved numerous times but eventually settled in Dickson County. After graduating high school, he served four years in the United States Air Force. After returning he married his wife, Sue in June 1964. He had many jobs over the years but finished his career as a machinist for Tennsco. He enjoyed reading and working outside when he was able. He attended St. Christopher's Church.
Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Sue; daughter, LeeAnn Daugherty and her husband Daryl; sister, Shirley Gravitt, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Marylin Dubrewil.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and will resume on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Funeral service will be in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home on,Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Donnie Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
