With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dallas Denae Winter on March 31, at the age of 27. Dallas was a boisterous personality in her community, and her hometown of El Dorado will miss her infectious smile and laughter. Dallas began her life of February 3, 1998, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. The day she was born, when her dad first saw her, he thought it was another boy because she looked identical to her older brother. Once he realized it was a girl, he was extremely excited, both parents were. They finally got their baby girl. Dallas grew up in El Dorado with her two brothers Dakotah and Dayton. Dallas graduated from El Dorado High School in 2016. Dallas then attended MMI in Phoenix, Arizona from May 2017 to June 2018 where she obtained her diploma as a Motorcycle Technician Specialist. Dallas started her High School years at Circle High School as a freshman in Towanda, Kansas. During high school, Dallas was a big part of the Circle High School girls' soccer team. She had a special talent for the sport and was a great team leader. Even when she was injured in her sophomore year the 2nd game, she continued to support her team from the side lines. She continued at Circle until her Junior year and switched to El Dorado where she helped her team with their first soccer win. Dallas was a tough girl; she grew up with two brothers who put her to the test. She was determined to be just like "her boys". It was common to look outside and see her playing football with the neighborhood boys or helping her dad wash the fishing boat. She even stole her brother's clothing to wear. She had a soft side to her too, she loved to bake with her mom and her Grannie. As a young girl, she would either be in the shop with her grandpa Charlie or dad, or in the kitchen with her mom or Grannie, or trying to antagonize her older brothers. The best part of Dallas as a child was her curiosity and love for "critters". Her and her brothers would go play in the neighborhood creek and Dallas was always bringing home new critters. She also kept the neighbor's water mains clear of garter snakes. And that came hand in hand with her love of fishing. She loved fishing with her Uncle Nathan, they were two peas in a pod when it came to fishing. Dallas was that girl who had fishing poles in her car and as soon as that 3 o'clock bell rang at school, she was off to the spill way. Dallas had a knack for people. Her personality pulled you right in. She was the first to lend a helping hand, whether a friend or stranger. There is not a person that Dallas met that she did not leave some kind of impression on. She had a personality bigger than the world and a smile that brightened this world. Dallas spent the last 5 years racing vintage motocross with her Stepdad and she even roped her brother Dakotah into joining her. She was very loved in the AHRMA community, she will be deeply missed at the racetracks. The last year of her time with us, Dallas spent working with her dad and Bevy to revive a local bowling alley and build it to what is now The Lanes at El Bowl and Frawg's Bar & Grill. Dallas was an integral part in all aspects of building this new business. Dallas' title was Bar Manager, but her role expanded well beyond her title. Dallas was a Master Bartender and loved visiting with her customers, her sharp tongue, quick wit and beautiful smile kept them coming back. Dallas recently started to pursue a career in music. She had a talent for writing her own songs and would post on social media. Once she got past her stage fright, it was game on. She would belt those tunes out and everyone loved listening to her beautiful voice. She also would put on a bit of a comedy show during her performances, typical Dallas style. Dallas also played a significant part in coordinating the entertainment at the Bar & Grill, which also led to building more friendships and helped her gather the courage to perform herself. Dallas has since performed with many of the entertainers and has even released a couple of her own songs. Recently Dallas held a 3-hour performance on the patio which left standing room only. Her contagious smile and beautiful personality will be dearly missed by all that she has touched. Dallas is survived by her Father Jeremiah Winter (Bevy), Mother Krista Todd (Chris), Brothers Dakotah Winter (Bri), Dayton Winter (Emily), Stepbrothers, Tucker Fletchall (Shayla), Ryan Todd (Kasey), Austin Todd (Kenadaey), Nathan Todd, Stepsister Kristen Cook (Cody), Uncles Nathan Winter (Melissa), Thadeous Winter (Aaron) and Aunts Destiny Haskins (Shane) and Vickie Wyant (Sebastian). Dallas also had many cousins and niece and nephews. Dallas was preceded in death by her Grandparents Joseph Winter, Charlie and Ann Karst, and Ralph Ballinger. At a later date, the family will have a celebration of life.
