Dalores Clara (Fansler) Haroldson was born on Sept. 17, 1928, five minutes after her identical twin sister (Lorraine Josephine) in rural Glenwood City, WI to Percy and Clara (Spaeth) Fansler. She was the youngest of four children. She was Baptized and Confirmed in the Methodist Church, attending for many years in Deer Park, WI. Her Faith in God and Our Lord, Jesus Christ, was her joy! She attended schools in Deer Park and New Richmond, graduating from New Richmond H.S. in 1946. In September 1946, she married Lloyd V. Haroldson, in Stillwater, MN, whom she had met through a blind date arranged by her twin sister and future husband, Neil Pierson. They were married for 71 years at the time of Lloyd's death, October 2017.
They lived in several places from Wisconsin to Minneapolis to Richfield and later retired to their lake home on Borden Lake in Garrison, MN. She was a stay-at-home mother for several years before becoming the church secretary at House of Prayer, Lutheran Church in Richfield, MN. Later she worked at Northwest Orient Airlines for 24 years, first as a secretary, then as a supervisor and reservation agent. She had many interests including writing poems, bowling, her flower gardens, traveling, baking, crafts and fishing and bird watching at the lake. Both Dalores and Lloyd were members of Sons of Norway.
Dalores had a long, full and happy life, she was called Home by her Heavenly Father on January 1, 2025 at 8:42 a.m. She passed peacefully in her sleep. She had resided at Ecumen in North Branch, MN for several years starting by joining her husband Lloyd who was suffering from Parkinson's Disease. After Lloyd's passing she remained on and was cared for and treated very well by the staff, first in Assisted-Living then later in Memory Care and Hospice. We, the family want to "thank" all of them for their care and support.
Dalores said family meant everything to her. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, her parents Percy and Clara Fansler, her brothers Douglas and his wife Katherine, Lorne and his wife Verna, her twin sister Lorraine and her husband Neil and by her Mother and Father-in-law, Mildred and Carl Haroldson, sisters-in-law, Ruby Frey and her husband Bert, Janice Grotenhuis and brothers-in-law Robert Haroldson, Warren Haroldson and Gene Phillips.
