I just saw a reel on Facebook with this young man speaking on his medical condition and his fear of dying. As a mother my heart goes out to his mother and family. God makes no mistakes. He needed as a divine angel. RIH Meechie!

I am beyond words and cannot say anything to ease the pain. I write this with selfish reasons that I know will not help you, but I hope will help me. We list our dear son this summer to cancer. It was and is horrific what we and I can only imagine you went thru. I cry hear telling you this, but I fail to be able to share this other ways. Strength is not a word that helps, nothing will for a long time. I feel it everyday. The holidays do not help, it only drives the pain in deeper. I look at the tree and cry now...I am not yelling u this again, i am only reaching out to tell u and your family you are not alone, it feels that way very often. My dear boy was 18, like meechie..fair no way, can't be, never will be young and just getting started..fair!! I cannot stress that word I should say unfair, to him, us, his future outlook future...hate it everyday!!! Please be kind, I wasn't to my remaining family. Depression yep, your friends fear what happened to you and will be shy to speak to you...fear, I certainly fear nothing cause the pain is small compared to what we both have gone thru...try to cope

Rest in Heaven Meechie. I wished that you got to fulfill your dream in playing on the football field at Michigan. I would´ve enjoyed watching you play. You´re a hero to so many individuals who have become inspired by your courageous fight. I just wanted to let the family and friends of Meechie Walker know that we are praying for you all. Please be encouraged.

Rest in peace, Meechie. His story was an inspiration for us all. Wishing his family to find some peace and comfort during these times.

Forever a Michigan Man. May he rest in peace, taken too early. Everything about Meechie was positive and I never cried like I did when I saw his story and when this world lost him. Go Blue, forever and always.
