Damian Nicholas Duff, a beacon of love, kindness, intelligence, and inspiration, was born on October 31, 1995, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and passed away in Conyers, Georgia, on August 21, 2023, at the age of 27. His life was a testament to the power of positivity, the strength of perseverance, and the joy of living a life filled with passion and purpose.
Damian is the beloved son of Sonia Banner and Harold Warren Duff and the cherished younger brother of Darius Duff.
He was a proud graduate of Salem High School in Conyers, GA, Class of 2014. Damian bravely served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Navy aboard the USS Ronald Reagan as a Logistics Specialist from 2015 to 2017. His service to his country was recognized with distinguished awards such as the National Defense Service Medal, the Sea Service Medal, and the Navy/Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon. Damian was also a passionate student of Information Technology and was enrolled at Strayer University in Washington, D.C., at the time of his passing.
We remember Damian not with sadness, but with gratitude for having had him in our lives. We celebrate his life, his spirit, and the love he shared with us. He will forever be remembered as an inspiration and source of positivity and love by his family, including his parents and grandparents, as well as, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend an expression of remembrance at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Slidell, LA, on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Damian will be laid to rest with Military Honors in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
