Damon Freeman

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Damon E. Freeman, 58, of Thornton, Colorado, formerly of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday November 7, 2025, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, a life celebration home.

Damon was born August 13, 1967 to John L. Freeman Jr. and Juventina Duran Freeman in Amarillo, Texas and passed from this life October 26, 2025, in Thornton, Colorado.

He was raised and educated in Enid attending Enid High School. He then enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country for two years. After being discharged from the Navy he was married and had two boys, Declan and Coulter. The family moved to Colorado where he lived most of his adult life and worked as a HVAC Technician and Supervisor. In 2015 he met Rebecca Ruby, the couple were married in 2023, the couple made their home in Thornton, Colorado. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and quads, going on vacations or just on weekend road trips, going to the lake, riding paddle boards, and driving RC cars. He loved spending time with the family, having a few beers, laughing and telling jokes.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Ruby-Freeman, of the home; two sons, John Declan Freeman and Coulter Ian Freeman, of Enid, Oklahoma; three siblings, Johnna Freeman, of Austin, Texas, R. Elaine Freeman and her wife Sydnee, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Melissa Freeman, of Yukon, Oklahoma; his step-father, Merlin D. Ransom and his wife Linda, of Enid, Oklahoma; and one step-brother Brandon Ransom and his wife Jennifer, of Cleveland, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his father John L. Freeman Jr; his mother, Juventina D. Ransom; and one step-brother Troy D. Ransom.
