Damon S. Sheets

Damon Sheets, 45, of Fulton, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2025.

Born on November 14, 1979, Damon was the beloved son of the late Hubert "Dale" Sheets and Wanda Sue (Smith) Sheets.

Damon was all about living life to its fullest. He liked fast cars, playing pool, motorcycles, and loud music. He was a skilled jack of all trades, working as an electrician, a flooring installer, and installing drywall, among other things. Damon's favorite pastimes included fixing up cars, going rock hunting, fishing, forging and smithing and spending time with his dogs: Blue, Azul and Cobalt. His family and friends recall fond memories and hijinks with Damon, the endless wet willies, pranks, and jokes. Even if his world wasn't always bright, he always lit up everyone else's.

Those that remain to cherish his memory are his mother, Wanda Sheets, daughter, Kaitlin Sheets, and many cousins and nieces, and will be remembered and missed by those whose lives he impacted.

Damon was preceded in death by his father, Dale Sheets, sister, Dawn Christine Sheets-Schwartz, and a son born into heaven, Zakaria Sheets.

Memorial services will be held at Maupin Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 7:00 pm. with Pastor Bruce Willliamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
