Dan Frank Alford was born on March 3, 1931, in Mumford, Texas. He graduated from Baylor University in 1953 and went on to establish himself as a provider for his family through many successful career endeavors.
He was known for being a hard worker and rancher. Dan’s dedication to his work was evident throughout his life. One of Dan’s proudest accomplishments was his marriage to Ray Ann Broaddus on August 20, 1955. Their union was a testament to love and dedication that lasted a lifetime. In his free time, Dan found joy in simple pleasures like spending time with his family, especially during the holidays.
His love for family was unwavering and brought him immense happiness.
Dan Alford is survived by his beloved wife Ray Ann Alford, children; Robert Murray Alford and wife Loretta, Dan Bradley and his wife Bridgette, Terri Roeseler and husband Peter, Carolyn Danise Johnson and husband George all of Caldwell, Texas. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Dara Towler and husband Beau; Dinah Stringer and husband Charley; Kiley Goodrow and wife Anna; Megan LaPaglia and husband Mike; Geoffrey Johnson and wife Kim; Kelsey Loehr and husband Colton; Allison Mitchan and husband Tanner; Steven Alford and wife Callie; and Chris Alford. He is also survived by fourteen beloved great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Dan Alford is preceded in death by his father Robert Atticus Alford, his mother Ella Mae Stubbs Alford, siblings Virginia Claybrook, Jane Spiller, Hoover Alford, Halcut Alford and Bobby Alford.
In the final moments of his life, Dan was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully passed away on June 26, 2024. A private family service will be held at a later date.
He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for family, and cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come. In lieu of flowers or for those desiring memorial contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church 300 South Thomas Street Caldwell, Texas 77836.
