Dan Hausermann Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 31, 2023.
Dan M. Hausermann, age 60 of Shelbyville, went home to be with his Lord after a brief illness on August 30, 2023, in Kalamazoo. He was born on September 30, 1962, in Kalamazoo, the youngest of four children to Max W. and Dorothy (Buist) Hausermann. Dan was a 1981 graduate of Parchment High School and received his associate degree in electronics from KVCC. For 24 years, he was an electronics technician for Safari Circuits. He enjoyed meeting new people through his HAM radio with his handle K8KOR. When he met people, he always made an impression. That was even more true with all animals. Animals were drawn to Dan, and he had a way with them. On September 8, 2006, Dan married Shelly Taylor. Along with his wife, Shelly Hausermann, his family includes his daughter, Jenna (Zach) Witherspoon, and he lovingly embraced Shelly's children as his own, who includes: Corey (Julie) Saganski, Shane Saganski, and Brandon (Nina) Saganski; daughter-in-law Zenora Evans; grandchildren: Ava Saganski, Lily Saganski, Cole Saganski, Jordy Saganski, Liam Saganski, McKenna McCoy; his sister, Debi (James) Adams; his brother, Dale Hausermann; his mother-in-law, Shirley Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mark Hausermann.
A memorial service will be held at the Parchment United Methodist Church on September 18th, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with an hour to greet the family beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Pine Rest, 320 Commerce Avenue SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
