Ronald Erwin Hausermann, 83, of Grand Island, Florida, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023. Born in Melrose Park, Illinois, he moved to Grand Island in 1997. He was co-owner of EFG Orchids in Addison IL; Ronald was also a Rural Route Postal Carrier in Grand Island. Ronald is a US Army Veteran. He was a founding member of the Addison, IL Rotary Club; a member of the Lake Concert Band; a Master Gardener Volunteer at Discovery Gardens, Tavares, FL. Ronald also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, along with SCUBA diving, aviation, boating, bowling,16inch softball, cooking, and working in his greenhouse. Ronald is predeceased by his brothers, Erwin Hausermann Jr. and Kenneth Hausermann. He is survived by his Wife, Betty Jo Hausermann of Grand Island, FL; Daughters, Adrian (Tony) Gaerlan of Addison, IL and Diana (Brad) Schwagerman of Twin Lakes, WI; Brother, George Hausermann, Sr. of Deland, FL, Step-Brother, Gordon Erickson of Hebron, IL; Step-Sister, Gale Kramer of Montello, WI; Grandchildren, Colin (Carly) Gaerlan, Logan Gaerlan, Haden Franzen, and Audrey Franzen; Great-Grandson, Dalton Gaerlan; and numerous extended family and friends. Private interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Memorial donations may be made to: 1. Lake Concert Band (checks payable to Lake Concert Band, mail to Lake Concert Band c/o John Landers 5509 E. Harbor Dr., Fruitland Park, FL 34731); 2. Master Gardener scholarship and memorial wall at Discovery Gardens (checks payable to Univ. of Florida put in memo line "Residential Horticulture Program", mail to Discovery Gardens 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares Florida 32778); 3.
