At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia.
He was united in marriage to the former Annie B. Cox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Willie James Jester.
On Friday, February 3, 2023, Dan's journey came to a peaceful end at his residence surrounded by family.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a wife, Annie B. Jester of Ochlocknee, Georgia; five sons, Lucious (Lula) Jester of Albany, Georgia, Dan (Davida) Jester, Jr., Donnell Jester, Dannell (Christy) Jester, Richard Nixon of Ochlockee, Georgia; three daughters, Jackie Quimberly of Thomasville, Georgia, Catherline (Edward) Patterson, Ann Jester of Pearland, Texas; twenty-three grandchildren, Tequila Harrison, Bonisea McCraw, Donyetta McCraw, Richard McCraw, Shakerra McCraw, Eric McCraw, Jatara Quimbley, Terrica Quimbley, Dontrell Jester, Tyreek Jester, Kinshay Stubbs, Vontrice Stubbs, Kalvisha Stubbs, Dontarious Jester, Erica Jester, Octavious Williams, Dontarious Jester, Danae Jester, Dannell Jester, Jr., Kennedy Jester, Isabella Jester, Donnell Jester, Jr., James Arnez Jester, LuCharles Jester, Laureien Jester; cousins, Cornelius Jackson, Ronnie Saxon, Frank Saxon, Linda Saxon, Annie Lee Jones, Hazel Jackson, the remaining Saxon family; best friend, James Adams; forty-five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
