Lucas Funeral Home - BurlesonDan Ray Washington was born on May 5, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the loving parents Tommy and Billie Washington.
Dan Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army and later retired after years of honorable service. His time in the Army reflected his discipline, courage, and deep sense of duty. After retirement, he continued working hard, always committed to providing for his family and staying connected to his community.
One of the greatest blessings of his life was meeting the love of his life, Eddie Mae Elliott. They were united in marriage on March 6, 1973, beginning a remarkable 52-year journey of love, devotion, and partnership. Through every season of life, they stood side by side, building a home rooted in strength, faith, and unwavering commitment. Together, they raised four children, who were his pride and joy and whom he loved deeply: Aronette, Christopher, Katina, and Danny.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Tommy and Billie Washington.
Dan Ray leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted wife of 52 years, Eddie Mae Washington; their children; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his strength, guidance, and steady presence.
His legacy lives on in the family he built, the values he instilled, and the love he gave so freely. Though he has departed this earthly life, his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
