Dana Marlene (Hensley) Clapper was born on February 19, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri to Wayne Aron Hensley and Mary Marguerite (Lair) Halbrook.
Dana was blessed with three children: Angelia, Brad, and Amy. She was a wonderful mother and took great pride in raising her family and caring for her home. She was an amazing grandmother and cherished making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dana was a skilled seamstress and beautifully artistic in crafting. She was an excellent cook and talented cake decorator. Dana loved using her creative ability to create many masterpieces for her family and friends.
Dana accepted the Lord while attending the Church of Christ in Salem and was baptized at an early age. She devoted her life to serving the Lord and enjoyed fellowshipping with others. Dana dedicated her last years to helping others at Silex Community Care and her adoring family always sacrificing herself before others.
Dana entered eternal rest on April 19, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving children: Angelia Harvey and spouse Leslie Brown of Moscow Mills, MO, Brad Land of Rolla, MO, Amy Blount and husband Tyrone of Rolla, MO; father: Donald Halbrook of Salem, MO; sister: Karen Matlock and husband Jim of Branson, MO; brother: Donnie Halbrook and wife Priscilla of Branson, MO; special friend: James Barker of Doolittle, MO; grandchildren: Michael Harvey, Nathaniel Harvey and wife Belinda, Alyssa Harvey, Koltyn Brown, Zachary Land and wife Brittany, Isaiah Land, Mason Land, Devin Linson and wife Brittany, William Linson, Bentley Linson, and Thomas Blount; great-grandchildren: Xavier, Liam, Aurora, Quinn, Charlie, Brooklyn, Abagail, and our most recent addition born just hours after our beloved momma gained her wings Josie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Preceding her in death, her mother: Marguerite Halbrook; brother: Harold Wayne Hensley; grandchildren: Audreonna Harvey and Leslie Brown.
Her warm and generous spirit touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness and compassion towards others. Dana will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial Services for Dana Marlene (Hensley) Clapper were held Saturday, May 13, 2023, in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Bro. Rick Prugh officiating. Family and Friends shared many wonderful memories. Song selections played were "Only Time", "I Can Only Imagine", "Amazing Grace", "I Get To Love You", Beat You There", and "Dancing in the Sky". Burial was in the Miner Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
