Dana Dennis Obituary

Dana Lynn "Butch" Dennis
Dana Lynn "Butch" Dennis, 70, passed away on March 1, 2025, in Orlando, FL, after a lengthy illness. Butch, originally from Pennsylvania and Delaware, was born in West Chester, PA, on August 30, 1954, to George B. Dennis and Elizabeth "Helen" Dennis.
From a young age, Butch was known for his creativity, energy, and strong work ethic. He attended Conestoga High School in the early 1970s, and after graduation, he began his career in construction. He worked for various companies, including Zarelli Construction, and held positions at Valley Forge Music Fair, Calico, and Doug's Detail. Butch's greatest passion, however, was his 15-year tenure at Keystone Helicopter. Known for being the first to arrive and the last to leave, Butch earned a reputation for his dependability, kindness, and hard work.
Butch was a lover of life, adventure, and good times. He was a familiar face around West Chester and the Main Line, often found out with friends and his beloved sister, Michelle "Mikki". His favorite spots included the Elks, Star Social Club, and The Spare Rib. Known as the life of the party, Butch later became the DJ and photographer of those same gatherings, always making sure the fun never stopped.
In addition to his love for people and fun, Butch had a wide range of hobbies. He was an accomplished musician, particularly enjoying playing his beloved keyboards. He was also known for his "Mr. Gadget" persona, always having the latest technology, from big-screen TVs to sound systems. With a closet full of stylish clothes, Butch was always dressed to impress, frequently sporting the same outfit in multiple colors to suit any occasion.
Above all, Butch valued his family and friends. He had an incredible ability to turn friends into family, and once you were part of Butch's world, you were there for life. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, stepfather, and friend. He was especially proud of his son, Chris Campbell of Orlando, and cherished his role as a father figure and stepdad to many. Butch was also a dedicated brother and son, always there for his family.
Butch leaves behind his son Chris Campbell and daughter-in-law Alicia Campbell of Orlando, FL; his sister Elizabeth "Libbi" Dennis of Atlanta, GA; his brothers Charles "Eddie" Dennis of Downingtown, PA, and Greg Dennis (wife Kim) of Atlanta, GA. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Helen Dennis; his sisters Michelle "Mikki" Dennis, Gwen Corn; and his brothers George "Chuckie" Dennis and Jon-Anthony "Tony" Dennis. Butch is also survived by many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and a wide circle of friends who loved him dearly. Butch will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His kindness, humor, wisdom, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He was a
one-of-a-kind person with a smoothness and demeanor that stood out. Butch's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
