It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, and friend, Dana May Nally, who peacefully passed away on October 10, 2025 at
the age of 79.
Born on September 21, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dana the second of three daughters to
Arthur J Morgan and Norrine Checketts. In her early childhood, they lived in Granger, Utah. She
grew up with a kind heart, a strong spirit, and a deep love for family. She always enjoyed being
in the garden with her Dad. When she was a young girl they moved to Phoenix, Arizona.
She attended and graduated from Cortez High School. She sang in the choir and loved to sing.
Her plan was to go to Brigham Young University and had been accepted. The latter part of her
Senior year of high school, she met the love of her life, Robert Nally, and they married that
Autumn on October 8, 1965 in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
Together they built a home filled with laughter, devotion to each other and the Lord, and
unconditional love for their five sons. Their marriage of 60 years was a true partnership -
grounded in faith, friendship, and mutual respect, especially while serving a mission together in
Enugu, Nigeria. Their experiences there strengthened their bond more than they ever thought
possible.
Dana truly was the heart and soul of her family. She dedicated her life to caring for others,
whether through her warm meals, thoughtful words, or the countless ways she showed her love
every day. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she never missed an
opportunity to celebrate their milestones, offer encouragement, or simply be there with open
arms and a smile.
Known for her endless generosity and get it done outlook, Dana touched the lives of everyone
who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a gift for making people feel valued and loved,
and she approached each day with gratitude and grace.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bob; was preceded in death by her oldest son Scott
(Audrey) and is survived by her devoted sons Brad (Lori), Mark (Trevlyn), Spencer (Mandy), &
James (Theresa); her cherished twenty-two grandchildren, and nearly 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Art & Norrine, and oldest son, Scott who now
welcome her with open arms in heaven.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 10:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday
Saints 8710 N. 3rd Avenue, followed by a family graveside service. Family and friends are
invited to attend and share memories of the remarkable woman whose love and light will always
be an influence for her family and friends.
Dana's love, laughter, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Though
she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will forever be felt - in the traditions she created, the
lives she touched, and the family she cherished beyond measure.
She was, and will always be, deeply loved.
