Max Bishop, 76, passed away on 9/24/25 at St. Joe's Hospital in Phoenix, Az. of congestive heart failure. He is survived by Trish Rogers, sister, Mark Rogers, brother-in-law, Stephanie Rogers, niece, Caden Hall, great nephew, and Iliana Hall, great niece. He was affectionately known as Uncle Max by all.

Uncle Max was born on Johnson AFB near Tokyo, Japan Sept.20, 1949. Family moved to Puerto Rico where his sister, Trish was born. Next AFB was Westover in Massachusetts, then finally to Phoenix where his father retired from Luke AFB.

Max attended Washington Elementary School, Cortez and Moon Valley High Schools, ASU, and graduated NAU with a business degree. He went on to Pepperdine University where he earned a Master's Degree in business. During college he served 6 years in the National Guard Reserve.

His career encompassed working in insurance, construction, and financial fields. He retired from Williams Senior Center where he worked as manager. He was instrumental in starting programs like Meals on Wheels for the residents there.

His passions in life were baseball where he was a rabid St. Louis Cardinals fan and football where the Chicago Bears were his beloved team.

He volunteered in Big Brothers of America and coached Little League baseball in Williams, Az. where he was eventually commissioner in Northern Arizona.

He was loved deeply by his family and will be sorely missed.

Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 10-11 AM at Hansen's Mortuary (65th St. and Bell). Gravesite at Paradise Memorial at 11:30 AM (92ND St. and Shea).
