Marc Phillip Halap

Marc Phillip Halap of Parrish, Florida passed away peacefully on February 3, surrounded by family after a long illness. Marc was born on August 13, 1957, to Francine and Leonard Halap and was the oldest and cherished brother of five siblings. After he graduated from Niles West High School, he went on to study at Arizona State University in business. Marc worked in advertising and publishing for over 40 years, traveling extensively.

Loving husband for 44 years of Robin Halap, nee Schessel; devoted and adored father of Samantha (Ryan) Czartoryski and Brian (Patricia Buczynski) Halap; beloved son of the late Leonard and the late Francine Halap; dear son-in-law of the late Dr. Jesse and the late Nanette Schessel; cherished brother of Michael (Laura) Halap, Faith (Ron) Kerbis, Marni (Paul) Foxman, and Julie Halap; dear brother-in-law of Larry (Marcie) Schessel, Dr. David (Dr. Marianne) Schessel and Marc (Terri) Schessel; treasured uncle, great uncle and friend of many.

After living in Buffalo Grove for many years, he retired to Parrish, Florida, where he pursued pickleball and biking. Marc was an avid athlete. Many people will remember Marc working out in the gym almost every day. His health and wellness were always most important, and he instilled that in his children. He loved walking with his dog, Rambo. He enjoyed spending time with his large, extended family, including his cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Services Monday, 2:00 p.m. CT, at The Chapel, 195 N Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove (1 Block North of Lake Cook Rd.). Marc's service will be livestreamed at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
