Dana was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on January 25, 1975 to Wilburn and Wilma (Varner- Bealer) Nichols. She graduated from Eldon High School in 1993.
Dana faced many physical challenges during her lifetime, however Dana still found joy in the simple things of life. She loved spending time with family, especially her great-nephew Cordell, whom she called her "angel". She loved listening to her beloved Cardinal baseball games and Wolfner library books. She had an interest in American history and was very excited to visit Washington DC and the Liberty Bell during her lifetime. Dana also enjoyed attending monthly "Good Neighbors" meetings at the First Baptist Church of Eldon, Mo.
She is survived by: her parents, Wilburn and Wilma Nichols of Jefferson City Mo.; her sisters, Darla (Neal) Morris of Jefferson City, Mo. and Donna (Mark) Walker of Jefferson City, Mo.; nephews, John (Kayla) Morris of New Franklin, Mo., Jordan (Danielle) Morris of Jefferson City, Mo., Corey (Elizabeth) Walker of Holts Summit, Mo and Jette Nichols of St. Joseph, Mo.; one niece, Jenni (Brice Jones) Morris of Jefferson City, Mo.; and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Paul Nichols.
A private celebration of life will be held by Dana's family at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to First Baptist Church of Eldon Missouri c/o "Good Neighbors".
Arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary of Jefferson City, Mo.
