Dana Ruth Thomas

Dana Thomas, 82, of Stephens City, VA died Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Winchester Medical Center.

She was born July 5, 1943, in Nowata, OK, the daughter of the late James G. Stickney and Mary Louise Spurgeon Stickney. Dana married Walter Thomas, Jr. on December 5, 1964 in Orchard Lake, MI.

She worked as a Receptionist for Winchester Orthopedics in Winchester, VA for over twenty-seven years, until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Dana is survived by her husband of 61 years, Walter; two sons, James Daniel 'Jamie" Thomas of Richmond, VA and Bryan Alan Thomas, of Winchester, VA; three sisters, Patricia Stinson of Livonia, MI, Margaret Madion of Hoover, AL, and Barbara Gelling of Normandy Park, WA; two brothers, Terence Stickney of Royal Oak, MI and John Stickney of Birmingham, MI; and two grandchildren, Steadman Green and Torrey Thomas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Anne Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
