Dana M. Tilley

Dana M. Tilley, age 71, of Niota, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. He was a member of the Beulah Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Niota. A founding member of the Union Grove Volunteer Fire Department in Niota. Retired from Mayfield Dairy. A veteran of the U.S. Navy having served on the USS Ponce during the Vietnam War. Preceded in death by his father: Ken Tilley.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years: Jean Tilley, of Niota,
Children and spouses: John and Diana Packett, of Athens, Laura Brown, of Riceville, Matthew and Brooke Tilley, of Niota. Grandchildren: Haylee Brown, Maddy Tilley, Ashlee Brown, Ben Tilley, Adalyne Brown, Cooper Tilley, Owen Goforth, Sawyer Tilley, Cole McKeehan, Cade Pettitt, Corbin McKeehan. Mother: Ruby Tilley, Niota, Brothers: Kenny Tilley, of Lenior City, David Tilley, of Niota, Carlos Tilley, of Niota, Sister: Shelia Cooper, of Athens. Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Beulah Chapel Church of the Nazarene from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Bill Dawson and Rev. John Porter officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.
