A memorial service will be held at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Road 6, Plymouth, on October 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
Dane attended Tanglen Elementary School, Hopkins North Junior High School, ACS International School, and Leelanau School.

I met Dane back during the 2010 graduation (Homestead). Having only heard stories, I finally got to meet the guitar prodigy himself. Dane had a commendable presence about him with an unmistakable cool factor. From spending months in Chicago together, linking up in LA, and reconnecting at yet another Leelanau reunion, we've gotten to know each other like brothers. To this day, I held hopes of reconnecting somewhere in the future. You'll be forever remembered and missed dearly. Love you brother.
