Daniel Nicholas Alejandro, age 21, was sent to his eternal home on July 31, 2025, in Peoria, AZ, due to a desert accident. He was born on July 22, 2004, in Glendale, AZ, the beloved son of Peter Genaro Alejandro and Amarilis Gonzalez Alejandro.
Daniel Nicholas was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Daniel Nicholas is survived by his loving parents, Peter Genaro Alejandro and Amarilis Gonzalez Alejandro, his brothers Vincent, and brother Lewis, and his sister Elena.
Daniel was the cherished grandson of Peter and Molly Alejandro, and Margarita Velasco. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles who adored him dearly, plus an entire community of friends from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He was predeceased by his uncle, Carlos Alejandro, and Grand Uncle Joe Galvez, his Godfather.
Daniel was an active member of the Boy Scouts and High School Band. After his graduation from Cactus High School, Daniel attended Arizona State University for one year, and before deciding to study to pursue a monastic life of service to others in the Greek Orthodox faith to spread the message of Christ love, compassion, and hope. He just completed a mission trip to Mexico, to build homes for those in need.
His dedication to his faith and his desire to bring light to those in need epitomized his joyful and generous nature.
Daniel found joy in music, and cooking. Those who knew Daniel will remember him for his infectious smile that light up any room he entered. He had strong values and was well liked by everyone, mostly due to his positive energy. Daniel had incredible patience, and always made time to help others. His deep-rooted faith in the Lord, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Daniel Nicholas Alejandro will be held on August 12, 2025 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. Visitation from 9:30 - 11:00am, followed by a funeral service from 11am - 12pm. A reception will follow at Mount Claret Center, 4633 N 54th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85018.
Although Daniel's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. As you continue to walk with the Lord up there, dear Daniel, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
We request attendees to wear Easter pastel colors. Those cheerful colors were Daniel's favorite.
