Mark Charles, a beloved free spirit born on December 21, 1979, in the sun-kissed embrace of Phoenix, Arizona, departed this world on August 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven from the colorful threads of family connections and cherished memories. A man who passionately labored in the logistics of household goods, Mark approached life with an unwavering zest, finding joy in the simplest pleasures. Whether it was savoring a delightful meal at any hour or basking in the warmth of vibrant red—a color that echoed his vivacious spirit—Mark cherished what life had to offer.
Educated at Cactus High School, Mark's adventures began amidst the whirlwind of youthful aspirations. He grew into a compassionate soul, forever embracing the spontaneity that life laid before him. His unwavering love for family was palpable, and he thrived in their company, often the core that held them together.
Mark's essence will be eternally celebrated by his loving mother, Lillian MacKenzie, and his nurturing stepmother, Melody Charles. His pride and joy, daughter Makayla Charles, will carry forward the light he sparked during their time together. He is survived by a close-knit circle of brothers and sisters—Jason, Larry, Paul, Eric, Lavni, Mindy, Mandy, and Kris—who shared in laughter and love throughout their lives.
Mark’s heart belonged, too, to his beloved grandparents, Guadalupe and Hulda Charles, alongside Angel and Blanch Valenzuela, who showered him with wisdom and cherished stories. Nieces and nephews—Lawni, Layla, Lexi, Sayde, Kai, Tristan, and Braetynn—will forever remember their uncle with warm hearts and fond smiles as they recall his exuberant embrace of life.
While the world mourns the loss of a gentle soul whose laughter and kindness enriched countless lives, there is solace in the bonds he fostered and the memories that will keep him alive. A visitation honoring Mark Charles will be held on August 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a rosary at 5:00 PM, both taking place at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale, Arizona.
Mark's presence may be gone, but his spirit dances on through the love he imparted and the laughter shared among family and friends. As we remember him—a wanderer with a heart full of life—let us carry forward the legacy of love, resilience, and joy he so richly embodied.
