Daniel F. Alspaugh, 92, of Grand Ledge passed away on October 20, 2024. He was born in South Bend, IN, son of Irvin and Gertrude (Freeh) Alspaugh. Dan served for the United States Army during the Korean War, and retired from General Motors after 30 years of service as an Accountant Supervisor. He was a member of Lansing Knights of Columbus #788, and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and just enjoying the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 68 years Joan (Robinson) Alspaugh, sisters Lois Dragoset, Mary Lou Hoffman, and Joan McNitt, and son-in-law Brian Gorman. Dan is survived by his children: Katrina (William) Shook, Randall (Joanna) Alspaugh, Karen Gorman and James (Joy Kilanowski) Alspaugh; 6 grandchildren: Jennifer, Ashley, Alaina, Emmit, Alyssa and Joel; 5 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass with Military Honors will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 345 Edwards St, Grand Ledge, MI 48837 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Daniel Alspaugh to the Parkinson's Foundation or Lansing Knights of Columbus #788. The family has entrusted arrangements to Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge.
