Patricia Ann Schlenk

Patricia A. "Pat" Schlenk, age 78, of Grand Ledge, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. Pat was born on February 5, 1947, in Cadillac, Michigan, to Joseph and Martha Mottor.
She dedicated more than 20 years of service as a teacher's aide at Neff Elementary School in Grand Ledge, where she was known for her kindness and care for the students and staff.
Pat found joy in tending her gardens, bird watching, and camping. She especially loved hosting family gatherings and holiday celebrations in her backyard, creating lasting memories with those she loved. Pat also treasured the friendships she made through her work and looked forward to their regular breakfast get-togethers.
On September 16, 1967, in Cadillac, Michigan, Pat married Brent Schlenk, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Eric (Roberta) Schlenkermann of Bath, Michigan, and Kirsten (David) Kalmbach of Potterville, Michigan; her grandchildren, Nick Schlenkermann, Kyra Schlenkermann, Joshua Kalmbach, and Katie (Clayton) Wenzel; and her sister, Cathy White.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Joseph Mottor Jr. and Donald Mottor; and her sister, Shirley Mottor.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
