Daniel J. Altland, age 71, of Spring Grove, passed away on May 27, 2025 at UPMC Memorial. He was the loving husband of the late Nadine I. (Warner) Altland who passed away on October 16, 2024; together they shared 32 years of marriage.
Daniel was born in Dover, PA on February 2, 1954 and was the son of the late David and Evelyn (Witman) Altland. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked as a truck driver for most of his life. Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He will be remembered as a loving person who cherished his late wife Nadine and was a role model to his family.
Daniel is survived by his son Daniel Altland, Jr. and wife Victoria; his stepchildren Tammy Blouse and husband Joseph, Kelly Clinger and husband John, Shannon Miller and husband Mike, and Merle Trivitt, Jr. and wife Anna; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Altland; his nephews Dwain Altland and Ian Altland; and his niece Shana Dickison. Daniel was preceded in death by his son Chad Altland; and siblings Dawn Altland, Dennis Altland, and Pete Altland.
A Memorial Service in celebration of Daniel's life will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 2:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with Military Honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 1:00PM – 2:00PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to West Shore Wildlife Center, Inc., P.O. Box 2, Dover, PA 17315.
