It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Barrett Amie, born on October 31, 1970, in Jennings, LA. Daniel left this world on April 18, 2025, at the age of 54.
Daniel was a dispatcher in the oil and gas industry and was cherished by family and friends. He was passionate about cooking, LSU, and the Saints. He also loved to dance, enjoyed outings on the boat, and always looked forward to the vibrant festivities of Mardi Gras.
He is survived by his loving family including his children, Kaitlin Thibodeaux and Kimberly (Christopher) Chandler; his grandson, Kanton Thibodeaux; his granddaughter, Maslynn Chandler; and his siblings: brothers Randall "Puff" (Sara) Cormier, Scott (Becky) Cormier, Dennis (Veronica) Amie, Douglas (Debra) Amie, and sister Eva Savage. He also leaves behind his dear aunt, Loretta Gilbert.
Daniel's family invites everyone to celebrate his life with love and laughter just as he would have wanted. The funeral service will be held at Miguez Funeral Home on April 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Prior to the service, a public viewing will take place starting at 9:30 AM, followed by a Rosary at 1:15 PM. Daniel will be laid to rest shortly after the service at 2:45 PM at Calvary Cemetery in the Garden of Angels under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha Miller Amie; his brother, Patrick Cormier, and his sister, Kimberly Ann Cormier.
