Daniel Leonard Barrett, Jr., 59, of Cave City, departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on December 6, 1964, in Mount Kisco, New York, to Daniel Leonard Barrett Sr. and Alice Moore Barrett.

Daniel was a truly genuine and caring person with a work ethic second to none. He worked for many years at ConAgra foods as well as Custom Craft Poultry. Daniel enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved to sing. His voice will be remembered and cherished by all those who were honored to hear it.

He is survived by his father, Daniel (Dorothy) Barrett, Sr., his sons, Daniel (Dezeree) Barrett, III, of Cave City and Armond (Courtnie) Barrett, of Cave City; his daughter, Lisa (Allan) Jenkins, of Evening Shade; his sisters, Cheryl (Jr.) Hawkins and Wendy (John) Goode, his grandchildren, Aya, Brieanna, Temperance, Tallen, Terrance, Courtnie, Kaylee, Christopher, Armond Jr.,Paiten, Kaydence, Mya, Alexander, and Roxanne, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Daniel is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Barrett, his wife, Mary Barrett, and his grandson, Jonathan Jenkins.  

Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Bro. Dustin Crawford officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the Weavers Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Barrett, Armond Barrett, Allan Jenkins, David Rasmussen, Christopher Smith, Jeremiah Miller, and Justin Williams.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time.
